TDK Genetics is owned and operated by Troy and Danielle Kane in Lu Verne, Iowa.  Danielle was raised in Lu Verne, Iowa around the livestock industry through her family’s show cattle operation.  She grew up exhibiting cattle, sheep, and hogs actively in Iowa jackpots and 4-H/FFA. As her show career winded down she began raising club lambs in 2007 and eventually built the flock up to 50 high-quality ewes known as Blondie Show Lambs.  Troy and Danielle met while she was attending Iowa State University for her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Troy was raised in Fairbank, Iowa and attended Iowa State University for Agricultural Business while also being a member of the Livestock Judging Team and Meat Animal Evaluation Team.  In 2011, he partnered with Brian Flach (Kentucky) and purchased a group of does from Georgia to create 5 Star Show Goats.  Currently the show goat operation is owned/operated by Troy and continues to have success throughout the state and midwest.  In Fall 2017, Danielle and Troy relocated the livestock to Lu Verne, Iowa and officially became TDK Genetics.  Aside from the livestock operation they have 3 kiddos that keep them busy (Koen-8, Koda-5, and Kutter-Welcomed in March 2023).
